Cambria went into her room to play while I did dishes today, and when she came out I just had to snap a picture! So hilarious!! She’s wearing my sunglasses, my old heels (that are now Kyrie’s for dress up), carrying her baby doll, and talking on the phone at the same time. Oh, and a ring from her dress up collection – because what outfit is complete without a fatty diamond ring? So funny.

Cambria and the Tooth Fairy
Asher lost another tooth today, and Cambria was starting to feel quite left out! So she went out front and found a small rock, put it in a baggie, and wrote the Tooth Fairy a note. Well, when the Tooth Fairy came, she couldn’t help but leave Cambria some money, too, because of the sheer cuteness! Notice the bow on the upper right hand corner of the note? So totally Cambria! I just love it.

Sleepy Cambria
Cambria was so tired that she fell asleep reading her library book in the van today. I had to snap a couple of cute pictures before I got her out.

If you want Cambria to take a nap…
…just tell her it’s time to clean her room! She’ll get mad at you and fall asleep right on the spot.

Sleepy girl
Cambria insists on having me put her to bed each night. I was in the middle of finishing up an assignment and told her I’d be right in and to pick out her story. Then I went back to what I was doing. I got up about 2 minutes later to head into her room, and I found her like this.
I guess she was too tired even for a bedtime story!

Caught in action!
I am constantly finding the contents of my purse either dumped out on the floor or missing, and a certain little 4 year old never seems to know how that could possibly have happened. Well, this time the little sneak was caught on camera! The funniest part is that I’m pretty sure *she* somehow set the camera to the timer setting because I didn’t take this picture, and nobody else was home at the time. lol!
When I saw her and said, “Cambria! What are you doing?!”, this is the look I got. How can you be mad at that (even though you now realize she’d also gotten into your liptsick as well)??

Feel the burn
Cambria got really into doing the Netflix workout video today!
The pictures don’t do it justice, so you must watch the video!!

Cambria’s impression of Tori Amos
As we were driving home, Derk put on a Tori song. Bri decided to do her own impression of Tori’s music. I like Bri’s version better, but maybe I’m a bit biased.

Static!
We went to a fun birthday party yesterday for Asher’s friend Porter, and I snapped this picture of Bri on the way home. Kyrie was having a bit too much fun with her balloon, and Bri wasn’t very impressed.

Asher's pumpkins
This is a belated post, but I completely forgot to post about it back in October. Before Halloween, Asher did a little activity at school that had us laughing. They had to color these pumpkins and then tell what each pumpkin was feeling. Asher's pumpkins are sad, mad, happy, and silly. :-)

Derk's hair
He may or may not kill me for posting this, but I think it's too funny.
Ever since Derk turned 30, I've joked with him that he's getting old. The past few weeks, I've been joking that he was going through his mid-life crisis early. Why, you ask? Well, some guys may go out and buy a Farari. Some may go out and buy a whole new, younger-looking wardrobe. Some may dye their hair to deny they're going gray. Some may simply get into a depressed funk. But my husband? He just refuses to cut his hair.

Abraham Lincoln by Kyrie
This is a post that only other members of the Church will be able to fully appreciate. ;-)
During Conference today, Kyrie sat down to draw to keep herself busy. In between sessions, the kids started singing some of their favorite Primary songs. We had our Primary program a couple of weeks ago, so the song "Follow the Prophet" was fresh on their minds because that was one of the songs they sang. After the kiddos finished singing the song, Kyrie sat down again to write a story. When she was done, she told Derk she'd decided to write about Abraham Lincoln because they'd learned about him at school. She asked him if he wanted to hear what she wrote. He said he sure did, so she eagerly read it to him. When she was finished, Derk came into the bedroom where I was folding laundry and told me I HAD to come listen to what Kyrie had written. So out I went and had her read it to me. It was SO cute that I just HAD to share it!!!
She was just slightly confused...... ;-)

"All About Me" by Kyrie
Today Kyrie brought this assignment home from school, and it was WAY too cute not to share!

"Hello my name is Kyrie, and I go to school at Gwyneth Ham Elementary in Yuma, Arizona. I have one brother, one sister, and two parents. What I like to do in my spare time is ride my bike or scooter, jump on my trampoline, watch movies, and bake. I am a very active person. I also like to play with my kitties. Their names are Isis and Zelda. I'm a very smart person, my mom and dad tell me. But I know they don't think I'm smart, they know I'm smart. And that is all about me!"

At least it's getting used for SOMETHING...
I've always said that whoever built a fireplace in our Arizona home was completely out of their mind. The previous owner never used it, and we've never used it, either. We've talked about covering it up with drywall and building a built-in bookshelf instead. It's just a pointless waste of space (and the wall it's on is angled, which just makes it even more odd to decorate around).
But anyway, today I was busy working on the kitchen project (almost finished!), and this is what Bri decided to do to keep herself entertained while I worked! :-)

Pretty in headbands
This morning as I was busy doing dishes, Cambria came into the kitchen to show me what she'd done. It was too cute not to take a picture! I wonder if this girl will ever grow out of her love for these cats? I thought the novelty would wear off shortly after we adopted Isis in 2008, but she's just as obsessed now as she was back then! And luckily the cats are extremely good sports (as if they have a choice!). Today it was Isis' turn to be tortured.....uh, I mean loved. ;-)

Cambria the Superhero
I posted a while ago about Asher's new Superhero ABC book. He still loves it, and the girls even have grown to enjoy reading it. We read it a few days ago, and Bri ran off to play after the story was over. She came to find me a few minutes later to show me that she was a superhero, too!
