First school dance

The kids’ school had a Valentine’s day dance for the 4th and 5th graders today, and Kyrie was super excited to go!  She tried to convince us to let her ask a boy to the dance……which I will admit completely horrified me.  Only because  her finally starting to notice boys isn’t something I was prepared for.  She wasn’t happy with me at all when I told her absolutely not, she’s nowhere near old enough to start asking boys to dances.  And she was even less happy when her dad agreed with her mom.    She still wanted to go and had a great time.  She wore her new dress that Nana gave her for her birthday, and I gave her a pretty hairdo to match.

She’s growing up way too fast!  *sniff, sniff*
