Fun with Aunt Denise and Olivia!

Derk's aunt and his cousin came down to visit for the long weekend. We hadn't seen each other in about a year and a half, and it was so fun! Kyrie and Olivia spent every moment they could together and got along so well.

On Friday, the kids and I met up with Grandma, Grandpa, Denise and Olivia to go see the Golden Knights. Derk couldn't get out of work to go with us, but we sure had a fun time! The kids got to run around in this huge field while I got to sit around and talk with the family and spend time in the sunshine.

The parachuters jump from about 12,000 feet. They have flares on their backs, so they do flips and turns to make designs with the smoke. Then they fly down right over your heads for and land on this little dot on the grass. After watching these guys jump, I've decided I really want to do that someday. It would be so cool!!

After we were done there, Grandma and Grandpa decided they were going to take Denise and Olivia to the movies, and they invited Kyrie to go with them. She had such a fun time! After the movie, we picked the girls up from the theater and watched Olivia so that Grandma and Grandpa could take Denise out to dinner. We thought this was the perfect opportunity to head to Chuck E. Cheese, and of course the kids agreed! :)

We invited Olivia over again the next day. We had plans to go to dinner with everyone, so she came over to play for a few hours before dinner. We took the kids over to a field by our house -- Asher and Derk broke in Asher's new baseball glove, and the girls had a blast playing soccer and getting a few hits in with the bat.

There's nothing that can compare to seeing my husband and my children together. Watching him teach Asher how to play catch and how to hold a bat was one of the dearest things I've seen.

After dinner, they invited Kyrie to spend the night with Olivia at Grandma and Grandpa's. She was so excited. They had a really fun night, watching a movie on television, coloring and playing games. We heard a pretty cute story that happened. The girls were drawing, and Olivia turned to Kyrie and asked her how to spell "Mississippi". Kyrie said, "Mrs. Sippy". How cute is that?! :)

Asher was pretty sad that he was too little to go spend the night with the girls, so we had a fun night at home with him. We put Bri to bed and then spent the evening playing games and watching a movie with Asher. He sure loved it!

Game 1

Asher wins -- he's pretty happy about that!

Game 2

I win -- Asher's not so happy about that. . .

Game 3

Asher wins -- he did a little victory dance that time! :)

Movie time!

We sure had a fun weekend!
