Asher's Halloween party

Today was Asher's Halloween party at school, and I went in and helped. It was my first time being able to go in and volunteer in his classroom, and it was so fun! I loved how excited he was that I was there, and I developed a new love for his teacher as well. She really is SO amazing, and I cannot say enough good things about her. I honestly think I might cry when this school year is over because she is just the most wonderful, caring teacher I have ever met. She is so good to the kids and really and truly cares about them so much. I just loved watching her interact with all of them! I also love seeing Asher interacting with his peers. His classmates all love him, and it's just so cute to watch.

I didn't get too many pictures because it was a little busy, but here are 2 pictures that I did get. This first one is Asher making the Halloween craft. They colored bats, then cut them out and made them into masks. I think he looks so cute sitting at his cute little yellow table! :-)

After that, they had treats. LOTS of treats. Parents brought in chips, several different kinds of cupcakes, Oreos, crackers, cookies, juice, and some fruit (thank goodness!). Here are my little cuties sitting together eating their treats. I tried to get them to put down the juice boxes and smile for a picture, but they were way too excited about having juice boxes (we don't buy them at our house). ;-) I don't know if you can tell, but Bri's not looking her best in these pictures. That's because she got a round of shots yesterday and was feeling a little off today. Poor kiddo.

After the treats, they got to watch a Halloween cartoon. It was 2:30 by that point, and Asher was begging to go home. I told him we could stay until the end of school if he wanted, but he was so done and ready to go. It was actually kind of funny! He normally gets picked up at 12:50, so that was a long day for him. Hooray for a fun party! Let's just hope we can get through this weekend without any cavities. Yikes.
