The way to a child's heart is through their stomach

You've all heard the saying "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach". Since becoming a mother, I have learned that is also true for my children. Today was just another hilarious example. I made a very wonderfully healthy meal for my children consisting of chicken nuggets. :) That in and of itself made me Mommy Of The Year to them, but it was the plating, my friends, the plating of said chicken nuggets that secured the award for me tonight. You would have thought my kids had died and gone to Heaven based on their reactions when I brought their plates to the table.


As if that weren't proof enough that I'm the coolest mom on the face of the planet, I also used heart shaped cookie cutters on Kyrie's sandwich for lunch today (it being Valentines Day and all, but I actually do that quite often because I quickly realized that my kids will eat anything if it's shaped as an elephant or a heart or a shark or a butterfly....so I invested in a huge bucket full of cookie cutters that we use all the time). So dream on, fellow mothers, that someday you will be as awesome as I am. :)

**Disclaimer: Most days around here lately, I deal with a pre-pre-(pre-?)teen attitude telling me I'm the WORST mother on earth, so I am giving myself permission to live it up that I did something RIGHT today for a change. So just bear with me and my snooty-ness. :) **
