Cambria's getting quite mischievous lately. Whenever I'm in the kitchen (or anywhere, for that matter), she's always right there by my side. She especially loves it when I'm working in the kitchen because, well, there's just a lot more for her to get into in that particular room! Even better than that, most of it is stuff she's not supposed to get into, which just makes it even more fun. :)
This particular day, I was making dinner. She was at my feet, as usual. I got our stepping stool to get something out of the cupboard and went to add it into the pot. I turn around, and she's standing on the top step, playing in the silverware drawer (didn't get a picture of that part). So I put the stool away, telling the poor child how desperately sorry I was that I was ruining her fun.
I go back to stir our dinner again, and I hear her start to push her high chair around the kitchen floor. I finished stirring, turned around to help her put the high chair back where it belongs, and this is what I found:

Yeah, right!
She leaves the kitchen, pretty discouraged, and goes around to the other side where the breakfast bar is. This is where it just gets ingenious, folks. This child is obviously a lot smarter than I am. Apparently she *really* wanted to get into that silverware drawer!
The "best" part is that I can't take the bar stools away! Where would I put them to keep them away from her? She obviously knew this and was quite proud of herself for out-smarting Mommy. Hopefully there aren't many more of these instances! :)
