Where did the time go? It feels like we just brought her home from the hospital, just watched her take her first steps, just took her to her first day of Kindergarten....and today she graduated on to first grade. Now I know why my parents always joked that they were going to put bricks on our heads.
I'm the Room Parent for her class, so it was a bit more special for me because I was really a part of the whole planning process. The other parents are so great and have always overwhelmed me with how willing they are to volunteer. It makes me look forward to helping out in future years because of how smoothly all the events I planned this year went.
I took so much video of the ceremony that I'm probably a huge nerd. Derk was laughing at me as I videoed her walking in, but I don't care. Let me preface this by saying that the videos are pretty unstable, but that's because I had Asher climbing all over me to see what I was recording. I kept telling him to just look up front because he could see it first hand that way, but I guess looking through the camera is way more fun. So here she is - walking in :) - and looking oh-so-cute. She's in the green shirt, by the way.
The ceremony was cute. The kids recited some of the poems they learned throughout the year and were really proud of themselves. Kyrie was most excited about learning the alphabet in sign language.
