Fun times!

We've done so many fun things and have had such a fun time the past few weeks! I'm trying to get my blog totally up-to-date, so I'm just doing one post to showcase all our fun. It's amazing how far behind I got after just under 2 weeks of being off!

These first pictures are from Chuck E. Cheese. We were so excited to see that we have one here in Yuma! Our nearest one before was nearly 2 hours away, and the kids were beyond thrilled to have one so close. We spent 3 hours there the other night and all had such a fun time playing.

Cambria absolutely loved this car ride and went on it at least 10 times. She insisted on putting the token in herself.

I love back shots. Not only are they adorable, but you don't have to fuss with kids posing (or not, as the case may be). :)

Derk and I helping the kids play

Another fun thing is we found this really great park here in town. You really can't go outside at all during the day, so we've been taking the kids out after sunset, and this park is such a blast. It's got this soft, spongy, astro-turf/particle board type floor instead of wood chips or cement, which is just ingenious. There are stadium lights all around it, so it's really well-lit.

We've also been going to our pool pretty much every day.

Asher! We bought him a new life preserver/swim suit (it's cool - the life preserver vest hooks on to his swim shorts with these clips), so he can go out on his own and has a blast! The pool is only 5ft. at the deepest point, so the kids can really have fun, and I don't have to worry.

Uh-oh! She's caught getting in to our pool bag! "I surrender - here, you take the goggles!" :)

Funny story. As we were walking home from the pool one night, we saw this large toad hopping along the sidewalk. Bri refused to get down to look at it, but Asher was pretty impressed. Derk wanted Asher to try and catch it, but Asher was too wary at first, so I told Derk to catch it first. Derk caught it, and he scared it so badly that it peed on him - twice! I laughed myself silly over that one. So did Asher, which lightened the mood, so then he wanted a turn holding the frog.

It was a big frog!

Here's a video for your enjoyment. I love his girlie scream. :)

How was that for picture over-load? :)
