Kung Fu Panda

We took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda tonight. I'm always skeptical when Derk suggests we take all 3 kids to the movies, but I'm glad we went. It wasn't my favorite kid movie I've ever seen, but it was definitely cute and worth seeing. There were several parts where Derk and I both laughed out loud.

Kyrie was very excited to "show us her moves" after the movie was over. But she was quick to assure us that she "wouldn't Kung Fu Mommy and Daddy, just the bad guys". Whew! I wonder if that makes Asher a bad guy, since she tried to Kung Fu him a short while later? :)

There was this really rude old lady there that almost ruined it, though. It's a kid movie, so obviously there will be kids there, right? Well, she kept clearing her throat very loudly every time one of the kids would make a peep. She glared at any kid who moved around. And after the movie when my kids wanted to play in the fountain outside, she walked by and said, "Too bad they don't have parents!", implying that I wasn't taking proper care of my kids. I said, "Excuse me?!", and she just kept walking by. Man, if Asher hadn't picked that moment to put both of his feet into the water to try and get in to go swimming, I would have told her off. I don't tolerate stuff like that well at all. Perhaps it's good that Asher distracted me when he did after all. Though I think I would have won if she would have tried to pick a fight. It's the lawyer in me. :)
