Birthday wishes

I just got a birthday card from my in-laws yesterday. It's obviously made to be cheesy-funny, but for some reason, it really struck my funny bone. As in, it's a day later, and it still makes me laugh out loud when I think about it. I propped it up on the counter, and every time I walk by, I start laughing again.

I was anxious for Derk to come home last night because I knew exactly what kind of face he'd make when he saw it. I left it propped on the counter and waited to see how long it would take him to notice the picture on the front. He saw it right away, said, "WHAT is THAT?!", grabbed the card, read it and then gave me the reaction I was hoping for. There's this grin that he does when he thinks something is extremely cheesy and mildly funny at the same time. His mom and dad both have the same grin, and I just think it's so funny. So of course I busted out laughing again.
