Growing up too fast!

Asher's bike got a flat tire, so Derk had to take the entire back end of it apart to get the new tire on. While he was putting it back together, he decided to see how Asher would do riding without training wheels. Asher was pretty apprehensive at first and made positively sure Derk wouldn't let him fall. It's moments like this that bring me to tears! To see how much our kids really do trust us, it's just amazing. Asher was really scared to try something new, but hearing from his Daddy that he wouldn't let him fall gave him the confidence to try it. I just think it's so amazing.

Okay, enough sap. :)

Derk held on to the seat and got Asher going. He told him he was going to let go, and Asher just kept right on pedaling! He did so great! Derk stayed true to his word and caught Asher several times. We didn't convince Kyrie to try without training wheels until she was 5, and I had no idea he could even learn it this soon!
