Halloween 2009

This was the year of indecision! None of our kids could make up their minds as to what costume they wanted. And then, when they would make up their mind, we either couldn't find their size or couldn't find that costume at all.

And, I have great news, which my sister-in-law Rebecca will really appreciate. I have finally convinced Derk to dress up! I didn't get him to agree in time this year, but I had him all but sign it in blood for next year! Yay!! (Perhaps I should make him sign it in blood so he doesn't back out on me!)

The kids had a fun night and got way too much candy. We hit the Trunk or Treat at church first, and with 3 wards participating, they really scored. After that, we came home and Derk took them around the neighborhood while I stayed home in case anyone came to the door. After they came home, we had a late dinner consisting of frozen pizzas (gotta love Totinos!) and a large salad (to make me feel better about all that sugar consumption!) and watched a movie together.

Kyrie the vampiress
(the teeth really bugged her, so they didn't last long)

Ironman Asher
(he's growling and showing off his muscles in the 2nd picture, lol)

Cambria the witch
(complete with wart!)

Happy Halloween!

(this is Jonathan, too lazy to sign in)

This is wonderful Hillary. I love all of their costumes! I'm so glad they all dressed up and had fun! Asher thinks he's SOO COOL, obviously! And Cambria is precious even with a wart! Kyrie's makeup is fantastic, as well! I've seen some reaallly bad vampire makeup the past few days, it's refreshing to see it done right! :P

I love you and your family so much. I hate not being able to be a part of all of these great moments.

We love you too, Jonathan! I wish you were closer as well. It does feel so lonely with everyone so far away...
