Our curriculum arrived!

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine told me about Arizona Virtual Academy. It's through the public school system, but you do the work at home. Some of it is done online, some of it is done offline. They send you the curriculum and everything for free! I had NO idea exactly how much we'd get, so when 2 huge boxes arrived, I was really quite shocked! The pictures really don't show the extent of what we received. We got paints, brushes, a beaker, goggles, a scale, books galore, workbooks, modeling clay, a tambourine, a globe, CD's...

Here's Kyrie, helping me go through her stash!

And here's a close up of all the stuff. That middle pile is stacked about a foot off the floor, although you can't tell in the picture.

Today will be our first official day doing AZVA since our supplies just arrived last week. I'm already so excited about it! I think it'll be a lot more structured and will ease a lot of the pressure I was feeling with doing all the planning on my own. Derk's even getting in on it and asked to teach her a few things himself, which sounds great to me! I think programs like this are awesome!

How awesome is that?! That's got to really help take the burden off you and it all looks like so much fun!
