I think it's just so sweet. I remember my brothers completely idolizing our dad, but I didn't notice it nearly as much as I do now that I'm a mother. Watching my son with my husband is a really special thing, and I just love seeing their sweet bond.
Asher simply adores his Daddy. So much, in fact, that he insists on wearing Derk's shirts nearly every day. It got really bad there for a few days, and I had to let him wear the shirt all day long (needless to say, we just hung around at home on those days! :) ). But now I've got him convinced to just wear them for bed so that he can function without constantly tripping.
It was also a bit difficult for Derk -- he'd come home from work and would go to change, and he'd have no shirts left because they were all in the wash! It was actually comical and just made the situation even more priceless. If you'd ask Asher why he was wearing Daddy's shirt, he'd say, "Because. I just want to be like my Daddy."
I just love it.

Oh wow, you know, living with you for a week I can totally see how all this would go down, hahah. And Derk coming home and asking, "Where are all my shirts?!" it cracks me up!
I remember a time where I would wear dad's shirts, too. Hahaha. That's funny.
He's such a sweetie!
