We took the kids to see Madagascar 2 on Saturday. Kyrie and Asher absolutely loved it! Of course, all you have to do to keep Kyrie happy is to shove a huge bowl of popcorn in front of her, but I'm pretty sure she enjoyed the movie, too. :)
Cambria even did surprisingly well. She made it through all but the last half hour. Derk took her out at that point and spent some quality time with her outside the theater. They had quite the time! Cambria kicked off their Daddy-Daughter Date by having a massive blowout that got all over her clothes. Derk went to change her and realized he'd forgotten to get the wipes out of my purse, so he was forced to improvise with a water bottle and napkins. Then he took her next door to JC Penny to buy her a new outfit.
(Side note: I was a little afraid when I saw her from afar and realized she wasn't wearing what I'd dressed her in, because the last time I let Derk pick out a child's outfit, he put Kyrie in red sweat pants and a bright purple onesie. I told him to let me pick out their clothes from then on. :) But anyway, he did a really great job and got her a very cute shirt and pants. He got a big kiss. :) )
After the movie, Asher really had to go potty. Of course he didn't tell us until after we were out of the theater and couldn't get back in, so Derk took him on a wild chase to find a bathroom in time. While they were gone, I let the girls play out in front of the theater for a bit. They had a blast acting out scenes from the movie.

Love the pictures!! Super cute!! I can't wait to see that movie! But I'll have to wait until it comes out on video Katelyn is still too squirmy to sit that long in a theater.
That is just too funny. I think we've all experienced a blowout with nothing to use! I want to see that movie with the kids too, but Marcus never sits still.
Hey Hillary! Thanks for inviting me to be part of your awesome blog. You rock! Lizzy had a big, just throw the clothes away blowout once...on an airplane! Ahhhh! Now, 3 1/2 years later, I think I'm finally able to start laughing about it.
Anyway, I'm glad your kids like the movie and I'm glad you guys moved to Yuma.
