Two little burritos

I remember thinking that I'd probably have so much more time to relax and do things I wanted to do once I had at least one kid in school. I never realized that having one gone means the other 2 take full advantage of having a bit more of Mommy to themselves! :)

Asher and Cambria love to pretend that they're babies and have me swaddle them, hold them and rock them like I did when they were tiny. Today they were both quite insistent that I wrap them both up at the same time, and I realized how glad I am that I didn't have twins! :)

There's a very specific order to this game. I have to wrap them up just so, like little burritos, otherwise they get quite put out with me and make me do it all over again. :) Then I have to take turns picking them up, rock them while bouncing and saying "Shh, shh, shh!" like you do to a baby and then sing a lullaby.

This game really makes me realize just how fast time goes. Just a few short years ago, I could swaddle each of these cuties in receiving blankets, which were almost too much fabric. I could hold them with one arm and carry them all day long. They really do grow up so very fast.

They were so cute, and we had a really fun time, so of course I had to snap some pictures.

After the game, Cambria went back to talking all about her birthday tomorrow. My mom sent a present in the mail, and it came today. I put it on top of our bookshelf in our living room, and Bri's been eying that thing like crazy, so anxious to tear into it. I got a cute little video of her. When she sits up and looks back, she's looking at her present on the bookshelf. :)
