Cambria's new chair

Cambria recently discovered my wicker baskets. I have 4 of them on my entertainment center that I use for magazines, books and toys and another by the couch that holds blankets. She loves to move the basket around the house to stand on in order to help her gain a few mischievous inches. And it's always the same basket. They all look exactly the same (in fact, they are exactly the same), but she only ever wants to stand on this particular basket. And if I try and trick her by moving it to one of the other spots on the entertainment center, she will find it. Oh yes, she will find it. One of my baskets finally caved (literally) in protest, but does the hole in the bottom stop her? Nope, she just steps on the other end.

So last night we decided to watch a movie with the kids before bed. Well, aside from my baskets being used to hold things I want them to hold or being a stepping stool for Cambria, they now have yet another use for this little darling. This time, she's utilized the inside (kudos for that!). She discovered the basket is the absolute perfect size to fit her and a nice soft blanket to snuggle up together and watch (or not, as the case may be for this 20 month old of mine) a movie.

Like I said, she doesn't actually like to watch the movies. The idea of a movie is appealing to her, but the theory behind it (aka sitting down for longer than a 2 second period) isn't. So, as per Cambria, she got out about 2 minutes later (that was a World Record!) asking for juice. This child wants juice from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to bed. I'd be willing to bet she'd even ask for juice in her sleep if I stood there and listened to her for long enough. When she wakes up in the morning and comes in for her routine snuggle, she doesn't want the kiss I so graciously am offering, she wants juice. "Juice" translated into Cambria language just means she wants a drink. Sometimes she doesn't care what you give her as long as she gets a drink. But sometimes she does care, and you have to go through her pitching her sippy cup at you with surprisingly good aim until you get her the right kind of "juice".

Anyway, this constant juice craving gets the better of her again, so she climbs out of her new chair to come whine at me to get her a drink. Yes, she is the epitome of cuteness, but trust me, her whining turns that cuteness down several degrees. While she's busy trying to convince Mommy to get up (while I'm busy trying to convince her to try and convince DADDY to get up), Asher snags her newly found chair. This displeases Cambria to a great degree, and she tries to remove her big brother from her seat.

She's mad in the picture, if you can't tell (you're lucky you can't hear the scream she was doing while tipping the basket). Asher, on the other hand, is having the best time and thinks this is quite a fun game, as you can see by the huge grin on his face.

Wait, where are the books that were stored in the basket? Oh there they are - on the floor. Maybe I should just get smart and leave them there and consider them a permanent piece of furniture. Because that would save me a lot of trouble in the long run.

That's too cute! Reminds me of Kinlee. They have to be as cute as they are, so they can get away with more :)

That is so funny. Ashton would be screaming at Kamaryn too. My kids sit in plastic buckets or boxes or anything they can fit in. So silly.
