Derk finally received his diploma in the mail! After 2 years of really hard work and several calls to the school to find out exactly why he hadn't received it yet, he finally has that piece of paper. I've been proud of him and his accomplishments and efforts for a long time now, but somehow I felt even more proud of him now that his accomplishment is a physical presence.

"Can we buy this, Mom?
"No."
"But, Mom! It has 12 vitamins and minerals in it!"
--Kyrie, age 6
"Mom, I want to tell you a question!"

"Okay, I'll clean my room. But I'll only clean 2 halves today and then do the rest tomorrow, okay, Mom?"

"I can't go to bed now, Mommy! My eyelashes hurt!"

"Mommy, my pee comes out of my reefruh!"

"Mommy, we learned about constipation today at school! It's part of the water cycle!"
